Visas
Please NOTE the Embassy’s Hours for these Services are: Monday to Friday - 10:00AM to

December 2nd, the United Arab Emirates National Day. Marriage Certificates, Birth
Certificates, Contracts, Degrees, Diplomas, Certificates (In General), Power
of Attorney, Trading and Distribution Agency, Financial Statements, Finger
Prints, Police Clearance, Incorporating Certificates, Resolution of Board of
Directors, have to be first notarized and then authenticated by the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International
Trade. Commercial Invoices, Certificates of
Origin, Certificates of Analysis, Health and food Inspection Certificates,
Shipping Certificate, Packing list, Customs Declaration, Agricultural,
Pharmaceuticals and Food Products are to be certified by the Chamber of
Commerce. Depending on the document, all the
documents have to be legalized first by either the Chamber of Commerce, Board of Trade and/or the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. Documents And Certificates Click here for

For Authentication Of Documents And Certificates
Commercial
Invoice: Must contain complete
description of the goods with their marks, number and type of packaging,
gross and net weights, quantities and values. If available, indicate the H.S.
tariff number for each commodity. Same
signed declarations as in Certificate of Origin should appear on
Commercial Invoices. Final destination and ultimate consignee must be shown. To be certified by a Notary
Public/Commissioner of Oath and Chamber of Commerce/Board of Trade. Certificate of
Origin: Required for all goods on
general forms. Final destination and ultimate consignee must be shown. Must
contain following declarations: “We hereby declare that the mentioned merchandise is being exported
for our own account. The goods are of pure Canadian (or USA, if applicable)
origin.” “We hereby certify that the
aforementioned shipment has been manufactured by…..(indicate name of
manufacturer).” To be certified
by a Board of Trade/Chamber of Commerce. CALCULATION OF FEES FOR THE

You have to multiply
the total amount of your invoice by 4, to convert to Dirhams (DHS) b)
Then you check the
amount in the table and then you can see the correspondent fee in CAD. For example: 10 000 USD * 4 = 40 000 Dirhams Fee = CAD $200.00

IMPORTANT: Please make sure that your invoices are
legalized by any recognized Canadian Chamber of Commerce or Board of trade,
and the stamp of the Chamber of Commerce or Board of Trade should be on the same page as the
total value of the invoice is shown. The fee per invoice:

The certificates of Origin and all other documents such as Quality Cert., Analysis Cert., Bill of Lading, Packing List, Resale Cert., Export Cert. Etc, should all be legalized by any recognized Canadian Chamber of Commerce or Board of Trade. The fee per
certificate/copy is CAD 50.00
The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates accepts only
Money orders or Certified Cheques made payable to the UAE EMBASSY with a

VISAS TO THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES Visit Visas to the United Arab Emirates
For Canadian passport holders and other nationalities (See below) the visit visa is issued automatically on arrival as you pass through Immigration at any airport in the UAE for a period of 30 days, it entitles the holder to stay in the country for 60 days and may be renewed once for an additional period of 30 days for a fee of Dh500. Western Europe: UK (with right of abode in the UK), France, Italy, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Finland, Spain, Monaco, Vatican City, Iceland, Andorra, San Marino and Liechtenstein. Other Countries: USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and South Korea. For
all other Nationalities, the following visa rules should apply: All other visitors who wish to stay longer than 14 days in the UAE must obtain a visit visa in advance through a sponsor. The sponsor can be your travel agency, your hotel, the company or department with which you are doing business in the UAE, or an individual (eg. A relative or a friend resident in the UAE). You can pick up this visit visa on arrival at the airport, but there is a fee of Dh100 plus a Dh10 delivery charge for this service. In order to complete your application, your sponsor will require your date of arrival, flight details, and a photocopy of the first few pages of your passport, which should be valid for at least six months. A hotel will only provide a visa if you are a guest. For an individual
to sponsor a visit visa, he or she must earn over Dh4000 per month and hold a
valid residence visa. Your visit visa must be deposited at airport
immigration one hour before the arrival of your flight. Note that your
airline may require evidence (e.g. a photocopy) before departure that a valid
visa awaits you on arrival. AGCC
Citizens: Citizens of the Arab Gulf Council member states do not need a visa to enter the UAE AGCC Residents: AGCC expatriates residents who meet certain conditions may obtain a non-renewable 30 days visa upon arrival at the approved ports of entry. Please note that the visit visas for Canadian passport holders ONLY can be obtained at the UAE Embassy in Ottawa if the applicant wishes to get it before his/her departure to the UAE, and he/she has to submit the following: · A valid original Passport · |
